 USE IT LIKE A MANDALA FOR A MENTAL TRAINING TOOL FOR MEDITATION Aug 28, 2010
This item arrived on time, intact and works well, sturdy enough. We treated it gently as a scope should be. Many different colorful images. I ask people to try and repeat the same colorful image twice and they cannot. The images are like snowflakes. The images can be used as a tool for meditation, similar to Mandala. I use Kaleidoscopes to encourage relaxation in people who normally need drugs or alcohol to relax and feel safe. It takes conversations away from feelings of hopelessness back to problem solving and hope, back to discussions of how peaceful life still can be if we allow it, how joyful it still can be right now, how relaxed and adventurous. Some people like to add head phones and favorite music. Even nervous people sit in nature and feel calm and clear thinking again. I can see their breathing and body relax. The mental break, the mental reset they needed. They're finally giving themselves personal one on one self time. Afterwards people say they feel like their batteries are charged again, ready to take on problems of the world again (all without drugs or alcohol). Kaleidoscopes are like Harry Potter's different wands, due to the different color/pattern differences, each Kaleidoscope takes you on a different adventure, if you allow it. Where will you allow your imagination take you? It can be your personal spontaneous Mandala offering you your own inner personal guidance and advice for the day. Friends have given me expensive Kaleidoscopes and I'm grateful but the expensive ones are just different but not any better. Let the adventure begin, enjoy.

I read in other reviews that their product was damnaged when they recived it, I did not have this problem. This is a very durable toy and my son loves looking at the colors and patterens. Great stocking stuffer ;)

I wanted to find an unusual item for Christmas for my 5-year-old granddaughter. This kaleidoscope filled the bill. She was delighted with it--don't think she had ever seen one. Recommend it for children of all ages.

I got a few of these as stocking stuffers and was impressed with the quality. They're pretty inexpensive but well made and very colorful. I got these for children, but I think they would be a great little gift for adults also. These are the classic kaleidoscope style, but made out of tin instead of cardboard.

My toddler plays with this occasionally. I think he'll enjoy it more when he gets a little older. It's not a GREAT kaleidoscope or anything--just what you'd imagine it to be as a kid's toy.
