Jack in the Box Junk Jan 06, 2010
I purchased this product for a grand-daughter for x-mas. We tried the product upon receiving. There were 4 adults trying to get this thing to work and could only get it to work about every 8th time. Not Impressed!!!!

adequate, nothing special Dec 20, 2009 This jack-in-the-box has traditional styling that is attractive and appealing. The music box works well, as does the crank. The spring on the jack is tight and effective - he really jumps out, and the spring doesn't weaken after repeated use. However, the sheet metal used to make the box and top are a lighter gauge than I would like. The clasp on the box top is flimsy. Also, the base of the box is cardboard with the design printed on. I paid around $16 total for it, and was disappointed with the lightweight construction at that price. I thought that for the money, it should have a sturdier construction.

Memory toys Dec 03, 2009 This was purchased for our new granddaughter Grace in the hopes that she will enjoy it as much as her mother enjoyed her Jack in the box when she was young.

box of disappointment Sep 05, 2009 I bought this for my daughter and she really liked the idea of it, but it never really worked very well. Often times, Jack would pop out the box without warning and getting him back in was always a hassle. The clip is supposed to hold him inside when the song ends, but it didn't alawys secure Jack in the box. Eventually, the clip broke and fell in the box and now Jack is permanently out the box. I contacted the manufacturer because I thought we may have rec'd a defective model, but they ignored me. My daughter is not rough with her toys at all- she takes very good care of them , so I have to assume this is a cheap toy and a waste of money.

This toy is more satanic than a Ouija board! Aug 11, 2009 I personally dislike clowns, but my child loves them, so I bought this toy for him. Suddenly, during the night, I heard the little tune this thing plays when you turn the crank and the "popping" sound when it comes open, all coming from my toddlers room which is adjacent to ours. I then heard this scratching sound, like something with claws slowly dragging itself across the floor, going down the hallway outside my toddler's and my bedroom. I got out of bed and the instant that I got up, it stopped! I headed to my door and heard the scratching sound scuttling back to my child's bedroom. I hurriedly opened the door just in time to see that scary-as-crap clown thing hurriedly pulling itself into my son's room and suddenly the door shut. I ran in, took out the box (yes, I checked, and yes, the clown was inside no longer attached to the spring) and blew it to pieces with my shotgun and threw the remnants in the trash can outside. Even now my wife and I can sometimes hear the scratching sound in the hallway and my son sleeps in our room every night. We are currently looking for a new home. Do not buy this evil toy!!!
